This week we have a great side for all the BBQ lovers out there. From Tex 'Que for You, here is a quick & simple pickled onion recipe! Make sure your sharp knife is at the ready for easy slicing and delicious results.
Pickled Red Onions are a great acidic compliment to any bbq dish. I put these on tacos, pulled pork, and even side dishes!
Ingredients
- 2 Medium Red Onions
- 1 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1 Cup Hot Water
- 1.5 Tbsp Sugar
- 2 Tsp Salt
Thinly slice 2 medium red onions and place in a jar. In a separate bowl, mix 1 cup apple cider vinegar, 1 cup hot water, 1.5 tbsp sugar, and 2 tsp salt. Mix well until sugar and salt has dissolved. Pour the liquid over the red onions in the jar. Refrigerate overnight.
