I recently added the pivot pro sharpener to my collection. Sometimes you just need a quick touch up to restore your knife to its sharpest point. I find it a welcome addition because I love having it handy to keep my knives in peak condition. The pivot pro also works well for sharpening scissors for the misses. Happy wife happy life. I had this sharpener now and finally wore it out. So I bought another one, exact same model. It works great and puts a great edge on my knife collection. Easy to take with you fits right in my bag. I highly recommend it.

This is tool is really excellent from the standpoint of convenience. I also appreciate the single-slope scissors sharpening feature. The ony reason I didn't give it a "Perfect" rating is it does not produce the ultimate edges you get from more sophisticated sharpening tools, but that wasn't expected. What I really do appreciate about it is that with less critical edges around the kitchen, which my wife persists in dulling by cutting against china surfaces, I can pick up this tool and give a quick edge that is perfectly adequate for 90% of kitchen work in a matter of seconds. The end result is I sharpen much more often than I once did.

I would not recommend this as your PRIMARY system, but it is a great sharpener, especially for the price point. I’ve used it to sharpen multiple types of blades. Better instructions are needed.

This works extremely well, especially for the price point. I would say this is comparable to competitors that are selling for 3-4 times this price. Now, it’s no match (at all) for my Worksharp Ken Onion setup, but that’s in a completely different category. I recommend getting both. 😉

It literally sharpens everything with a blade. From machetes to kitchen knives, I tried just about every blade and tool I had and walked away with a sharp edge every time. Absolutely worth the money and it would be a great gift for practically anyone.

Product works well, but better instructions are needed. The pivot mechanism is not intuitive.

Nice sharpener for camp or in your shop. This knife sharpener was great while processing game and didn’t want the cords hanging around for my other work sharp tools. Will continue to use this great product to keep my knives sharp.

This is a great sharpener to keep in the kitchen or shop. A couple of minutes worth of work, you can keep a drawer full of sharp knives. I highly recommend this sharpener......especially for the price. I love Work Sharp products in general. I have the Ken Onion sharpener. I use this product in between my Ken Onion sharpening sessions.

Quick easy sharpener surprised how fast it sharpened all the kitchen knives. Also is small enough to through in the pack and kept my hunting knife sharp throughout hunting season

Very useful tool for any knife sharpening. The fact you can hold the sharpener down firmly on a flat surface with one hand and draw the knife through the sharpener with the other makes it very safe in my opinion. The ceramic rods put a fine hone on the edge. There is a pivot setting that facilitates taking off more material but I think I'd use another sharpening method (like the Ken Onion tool from work sharp) for a knife that needed more than a good touch-up, but it's there if you need it. It will also sharpen scissors, axes and yard tools (using the flat diamond plate on the bottom for the latter tool. This sharpener will live in the kitchen knife drawer. At the price point you can't go wrong.

I am a professional sharpener and I acquired this sharpener. This is a great sharpener for quick touch ups! Granted it’s not as precise as my main sharpener, it’s great for its intended use. 5 Stars!!

Have been using this on my pocket knife and a few shop tools. Works great and puts a good edge on anything you sharpen with it.

Initial impressions of the product have been good. I haven't had a chance to use it on anything but my knives yet, but will. The handle is great to help hold the sharpener in place as well as protect your fingers from mishap. Wasn't able to get my knife super sharp with this sharpener on my first attempt, but it may be from user error. Overall a great value for a sub $10 sharpener.

The Pivot Pro has been tested, and tried. I had the opportunity to use it in the field. I do bbq festivals, and catering, where sharp knives are essential. This tool here was able to sharpen all my knives in my knife roll. Took it to my buddies restaurant, and sharpened his knives as well. A very versatile tool! love the course diamond for the use to sharpen my ax to split wood. All around a great tool in my arsenal. Small and compact. Very nice design, and well thought out!

Wow! Work Sharp has done it again. I have owned many types of sharpeners, and some I have taken with me hunting and camping… but none have been as versatile as the Pivot Knife Sharpener. Every time I turn it over, it seems that there is another type of sharpener on this device or another item that can be sharpened.
First thoughts of this device are that it is surprisingly engineered and packed with features. It is versatile and durable. It has a comfortable handle to help secure the sharpener as you use it. It is packed with five types of sharpeners that will help as you touch up your blades and tools. The Work Sharp Pivot Pro feels solid in the hand, but not overly heavy. This small but capable sharpener has five types/levels of sharpening.
1.,Pivot Response Convex Carbides for quickly restoring the edge of your favorite blade.
2.,Ceramic Rods for honing the edge to a much finer finish.
3.,Diamond Plate for placing an edge on hard to sharpen edges like axes, hatchets, hooks, chisels or whatever edge needs to be refined.
4.,A removable pruner/sheer sharpener to make quick work of your curved pruner blades.
5.,Another set of conveniently located straight edged carbide blades for sharpening axes, hatchets, machetes, or other brute force cutting tools. I haven’t been able to try it, but it might work to touch up other yard tools.

I have personally used it to touch up my machete that I frequently use to clear brush and cut kindling with. It restored the edge smoothly and uniformly along the whole length of the blade allowing me to quickly return to work without the need to go back to the shop for some other type of sharpening device.
I keep this in my kitchen where I can touch up Kitchen cutlery, pocket knives, kitchen scissors and various other blades.
Don’t just get this for yourself, this would be a perfect present for that special somebody on your list that already has everything. If I had another, I would keep it in the truck. This would be perfect for all outdoorsmen and outdoorswomen, even crafters who need a sharp even for their tools and scissors. A few types of people who could use this are: gardeners, fishermen, hunters, trappers, cooks and chefs, hobbyists, wood workers, contractors, mechanics, foresters, farmers, ranchers, boaters, plumbers, electricians, butchers, tailors… just to name a few.

Works great and has one thing that has been missing from other manufacturers sharpeners, the ability to sharpen scissors. The versatility doesnt end in the kitchen, I was able to extend the life of some yard tools with the carbide strip under the base.

I love this sharpener. It works a treat for all my kitchen sharpening needs. It has already replaced two other sharpeners that do not work nearly so well.

Nice solid base and quick sharpening. I leave it on pivot mode. Excellent for kitchen knives and new life for the scissors. Keep it in the kitchen drawer and I use it in conjunction with the original electric Work Sharp knife and tool sharpener. Love them both.

I was sent this as an early review and did not purchase it, but I am thoroughly impressed by the design and execution of this sharpener. I used this for several pocket knives, kitchen knives and scissors, all with great results. My wife uses scissors to cut wire, so my scissors have semi-circular grooves in the edge. I’ll his was able to get the grooves out entirely or enough to get the scissors working great again. This is great to put in the kitchen junk drawer, a drawer in the garage, or a tool box. With its ability to sharpen shears, and axes, it’s a great versatile tool.

Great way to put an edge on! I really put this sharpener through the paces by sharpening an axe, shears, hunting knife, and 2 kitchen knives. It will not replace my electric Work Sharp unit, but is now my go to for a quick edge and mid-project honing. Great when processing game, or rigging! Super versatile with the diamond plate on the bottom; reshaped the edge of my axe before sharpening.

Great tool. To give it a true test, I sharpened a machete used to gather blind material. The blade was in pretty bad shape but using the diamond plate, brought it back to better than factory sharpness. I also used it to repair a couple abused pruners. The pruners are as good as new. The only nit I have with the tool is that the rear cap is hard to remove. If there were some kind of grips instead of smooth plastic it may help. I sharpened several kitchen knives and a couple hunting knives too. I didn't test the hatchet sharpener but am sure it would work just fine. The handle is a great safety feature and makes the sharpener very easy to use.

Love this product! It's so easy to use and versatile. I was so impressed I took the sharpener to work for a couple of park rangers to try out. They gave it a work out on their knives and all sorts of tools around the park. One even took it home to sharpen all of his kitchen knives. Needless to say, the rangers had nothing but great things to say about this sharpener. Kudos to Work Sharp for another great product!

Nice design. Puts a nice edge on my knifes quickly. It is now a fixture on my bbq vending/competition trailer for quick edge touch ups.
