How do I track the belts on the MK2?
On the Mk.2 the belt is tracked and set at the factory, so it should not need frequent adjustment. If adjustment is needed, the belt tracking screw is located on the back of the sharpener. Remove the guide by pulling straight up and off. With the machine running and a belt installed, use a flat head screwdriver to slowly turn the tracking fastener until the belt is centered on the top pulley.
How do I remove the angle guide?
Simply pull the angle guide straight up to remove it. It’s a snug fit but removable. Remember to flip the Edge Guide down when using the grinder.
How do I change the angle on my new guide?
Adjust the angle by pushing the lever on the back of the guide up or down. The lever will snap into position.
My Edge Guide has grooves worn into it. How do I replace it?
Grooves can form over time from heavy pressure. Use a lighter touch and let the belt do the work. Replacement Edge Guides are available.
How do I track the belt on my MK.2 sharpener?
The belt is factory-set and usually doesn’t need adjustment. If needed, remove the guide, then use a flathead screwdriver on the tracking screw at the back while the machine runs. Turn slowly until the belt centers on the top pulley.
What are the RPMs for each speed?
The speed is the same as the Original KTS, with a high of 3600–4000 SFM and a low speed at approximately half that, around 1600–2000 SFM.
