best for lapping films honestly.

an 80, 120, 160 grit extra coarse tribrasive
a 1000 grit instead of ceramic for the fine tribrasive
then 15, 12, 9 micron lapping film tribrasive with the ceramics.
with that youd have a extra coarse, coarse, fine, extra fine, tribrasives if all diamond even premium steels would be doable. oh well.

Great sharpening kit! But definitely needs more grit choices. Even if they sell them as accessories. More grit choices would allow the precision sharpness I like!

The biggest complaint is the grit choices. Super awesome system but I have to ding it for that. Wound be awesome if I could hone my straight razor on this but I need 3000/8000

this sharpener is awesome but it definetly needs finer stones, even if just one more guide gets added with three more grits above the ceramic, im sure i speak for eveyone when i say we would be willing to pay the price for one

I love this sharpener so i gave it 5 stars. I still would like to be able to buy a whole slide assembly with new stones on it instead of separate stones. Also more grits would be awesome… that being said, this sharpener sharpens knives to an edge that is unmatched by other styles of sharpeners. At a fraction of the price of similar sharpeners

I love this set up!!! However I would like to see them offer some finer grit replacement stones! Quite a bit finer than the 600

First of all this is a great sharpening system that won't hurt your pocket. I love it. I only gave 4 stars because i think there should be more of a selection of stones. 300 600 and the ceramic are great. But in my opinion there should be 200 to 1000, maybe even a leather strop and something for serations. Great sharpener for the price. Maybe i will upgrade to the belt sharpener one day. Thanks guys!
